Ferrari has retained all six drivers for its sophomore Hypercar campaign in the FIA World Endurance Championship, keeping its lineup fully intact after a successful debut season in 2023.

As previously reported by Sportscar365, the Italian manufacturer was likely to keep the lineup of driving talent across its pair of Ferrari 499P LMH cars for its second year of top-class competition.

Confirmed on Wednesday, Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen will once again team up aboard the No. 50 car, while the 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning trio of Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi are set to pilot the No. 51 machine.

Of note, both Nielsen and Calado were confirmed to have signed new, long-term agreements ahead of the 2024 campaign.

Ferrari enjoyed a successful return to top-class competition last year, with Fuoco notably scoring a debut pole at the 1000 Miles of Sebring and again at Le Mans, while the two cars picked up a combined five podium finishes across the WEC season.

The absolute highlight of its campaign came during the Centenary edition of Le Mans, where Pier Guidi, Calado and Giovinazzi defeated Toyota to claim the Prancing Horse’s first overall victory in the French endurance classic since 1965.

However, Ferrari was unable to prevent their Japanese rivals from completing a clean sweep of drivers’ and constructor’s titles with six race wins.

“The choice to retain the drivers who competed last year with the 499Ps for the Ferrari – AF Corse team in the 2024 FIA WEC season reflects a commitment to continuity,” said Antonello Coletta, Ferrari’s Global Head of Endurance.

“In 2023, with these crews undertaking their maiden outing in the top class of the world championship, we accomplished remarkable results including a victory at Le Mans and six podium finishes out of seven races.

“These achievements allowed us to secure an excellent runner-up spot in the Manufacturers’ championship by the end of the year. Together we have gained experience as we continue to develop our car and demonstrate its potential.

“Building upon these foundations, we look forward to the now imminent 2024 season with optimism, renewing our confidence in our drivers.”

Ferrari’s presence in WEC’s Hypercar class is set to grow to three cars this season, with the two works cars set to be joined by a third, AF Corse-run customer 499P.

Robert Kubica was confirmed as the first driver for the No. 83 car in November, while Yifei Ye is expected to join the Polish driver after leaving Porsche to sign with Ferrari last month.
