Reigning GT4 European Series Silver Cup champion Charlie Fagg will make his FIA World Endurance Championship debut this year with D’station Racing in GTE-Am.

Fagg, who won the 2021 title with his United Autosports co-driver Baily Voisin, will share an Aston Martin Vantage GTE with  Tomonobu Fujii and Satoshi Hoshino for the six-round season that starts at Sebring next month and includes the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The 22-year-old Brit is set for his first season above GT4 level, after moving to the category in 2017.

He spent the last few years driving in different series before joining United to drive one of the British squad’s McLaren 570S GT4s during the 2021 European season.

“I’m delighted to announce that I will be racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship with D’station Racing,” said Fagg, who is D’station Racing’s Silver-rated driver.

“To be able to compete at this level is something I have always dreamt of doing and to do it with such a fantastic team is more than I could have hoped for!

“Whilst it’s a big step up, I am honored to be able to learn from my fantastic teammates, Hoshino-san and Fujii-san and being able to make my 24 Hours of Le Mans debut with them, is the icing on the cake.

“I cannot thank everyone at D’station Racing, TF Sport and EDGE Management enough, for this unbelievable opportunity. I am so excited to get started next month at Sebring.”

D’station Racing’s program in the WEC is again being run by TF Sport, which is fielding two GTE-Am entries for the second year in a row.

Ben Keating, Florian Latorre and 2019-20 world champion Marco Sorensen form the team’s other driver lineup.

D’station Racing made its full-time WEC debut last year while Fujii, Hoshino and Andrew Watson finished ninth in the GTE-Am standings.

Watson was made ineligible to partner Fujii and Hoshino in 2022 courtesy of the FIA upgrading him from Silver to Gold status, prompting TF to locate a new driver.

“We are really pleased to have Charlie on board with us for the season,” said TF Sport team principal Tom Ferrier.

“D’station Racing entry showed their pace in 2021 and I have no doubt that Charlie will take this step up to GTE in his stride.

“Being able to support young, talented drivers up through the GT racing ladder is something extremely important to me and I’m glad we’ve been able to support Charlie in such a significant step in his career.”
