Bentley has added a third Continental GT3 for its Nürburgring 24 assault later this month, confirming on Wednesday an all-factory driver lineup.
The three cars, including two previously-announced entries, will be run by Bentley Team Abt, with the third car supported by M-Sport.
Works drivers Guy Smith, Steven Kane and Maxime Soulet will share the factory car, while Christian Mamerow, Christer Joens, Christian Menzel, Chris Brueck, Nico Verdonck and Jordan Lee Pepper will race the other two Abt cars.
Team Abt has already achieved success in preparation for the 24-hour race, scoring a second-place finish in VLN 1.
“I couldn’t ask for a more experienced team to be representing Bentley at this now-global event,” said Director of Motorsport Brian Gush.
“Nürburgring 24 Hours is considered in the motoring world to be one of the most prestigious and challenging events – perform well here and you have demonstrated that your brand has the top engineering expertise in the world.
“Bentley Team Abt is a very experienced team at the Nürburgring and that will prove invaluable during the 24-hour race.
“Add to that the product knowledge that Bentley Team M-Sport has and we have a very strong setup.”
