DXDT Racing will welcome Alexander Sims, Patrick Liddy and Blake McDonald to its lineup for next month’s Indianapolis 8 Hour presented by AWS.

The North Carolina-based squad will field a pair of Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs for the eight-hour finale to the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS season.

Its No. 63 car, which is a run of eight consecutive victories in the Pro class and holds a narrow points deficit to Wright Motorsports heading into the event, will see Sims team up with Alec Udell and Tommy Milner.

Sims, a Corvette Racing factory driver, will make his event debut and took the maiden IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship win for the new-for-2024 Corvette in July.

“I’m so excited to join DXDT in Indianapolis,” Sims said.

“Tommy, Alec, and the team have had an incredible run this season, and I’m hopeful that we can continue that.

“To be honest, we’re up against a very tough field; it’s going to be difficult to get a result with all the great lineups.

“The first aim in any endurance race is to make it to the end without any issues, but I have full confidence in my co-drivers and the team in making that happen.

“I’m familiar with some of the team from past racing, so I know that they’re a great group who will prepare a very fast race car for us!”

In the Pro-Am class, DXDT has opted for a largely revamped lineup as Liddy and McDonald join Bryan Sellers aboard the No. 64 car.

Sellers previously raced alongside Bryson Morris, taking a pair of class wins at Road America and Barber Motorsports Park together.

Instead, Sellers will be joined by Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America teammates Liddy and McDonald for the event, which also serves as the final round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge.

The two drivers have already gained notable sports car racing experience in various series, with Liddy taking a GTD class win at Motul Petit Le Mans last year and McDonald racing  a Nielsen Racing Oreca 07 Gibson in the Asian Le Mans Series.
