Land Leads Audi 1-2-3 in Free Practice at Monterey

The Audi Sport Team Land trio of Christopher Haase, Christopher Mies, and Connor de Phillippi paced an Audi 1-2-3 in Friday’s 90-minute Free Practice for the California 8 Hours at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

The German squad jumped to the top of the time sheets early in the session with a fast lap of 1:24:203, 0.193 seconds faster than the No. 11 WRT Audi of Robin Frijns, Stuart Leonard, and Jake Dennis.

Audi Sport Team Magnus Racing was third, followed by the No. 58 Porsche Motorsport North America by Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R and K-PAX Racing’s McLaren 650S GT3.

The No. 54 Black Swan Racing Porsche led the way in GT3 Pro-Am, while the No. 194 MARC Cars Australia Marc Mazda 3 V8 topped the Invitational class, and TRG paced the GT4 category in the No. 3 Aston Martin GT4.

Pre-Qualifying is set for this afternoon at 3:20 p.m. PT.
