Squadra Corse Garage Italia will continue its partnership with TR3 Racing in Blancpain GT World Challenge America, with Caesar Bacarella and Martin Fuentes back for a full season in the No. 07 Ferrari 488 GT3 car.

The pairing will defend their GT3 Am title, following a dominant year that saw nine wins out of ten SprintX races and Fuentes also pick up the GTA title.

“It was an incredible season last year and I’m thrilled to be returning to race for Squadra Corse,” said Bacarella.

“Martin is a great co-driver and the team is very strong. Racing the Ferrari 488 is incredible, and I am looking forward to defending our championship from last year and competing in this new format with the longer races.”

As was the case last year, the team’s Hublot-sponsored Ferrari will be run under TR3 Racing’s tent, extending the relationship with the Miami-based team for a second consecutive season.

Segal, Lu Return to TR3 for COTA

TR3’s Ferrari, meanwhile, will be driven by 2018 SprintX co-drivers Jeff Segal and Wei Lu in this weekend’s season-opening round at Circuit of The Americas.

The pairing, who are only slated to drive for the team at COTA, picked up Pro-Am class honors in Round 2 at the F1 circuit last year.

“We’ve got really good memories from there last year— it was kind of our coming-out party,” Segal said. “We were rookies and Wei did a great job to put it on pole.

“We had two really strong races including the win in the second race. Now we’ve both got a whole season together under our belts and after winning both races to end the season last year we are going from strength to strength to be opening the season at COTA.”

No word has been given on TR3’s drivers for the remainder of the season.
