ST Racing has signaled intentions to appeal SRO America’s ruling from Sunday’s Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS at Sebring International Raceway, which saw the team’s No. 38 BMW M4 GT3 of Samantha Tan and Neil Verhagen stripped of its victory due to a technical infraction.

Tan and Verhagen were moved to the rear of the 14-car field and lost all points in Race 2 due to the car being found to be “non-compliant” in post-race technical inspection.

It was the team’s second second technical infringement of the weekend after Tan and Verhagen lost all of their qualifying times due to the car’s manifold pressure being over the published BoP limit.

“We stand behind our car, driver and team’s performance and look forward to presenting the data that shows the No. 38 raced within the technical regulations,” a statement from ST Racing read.

ST’s post-race penalty has provisionally given the Pro-Am class win to the No. 120 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R of Adam Adelson and Elliott Skeer, while overall honors went to the No. 45 Wright Porsche driven by Madison Snow and Jan Heylen.
