Laurens Vanthoor put the No. 1 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT Audi R8 LMS GT3 on top in the four-hour morning session on the second day of the Blancpain GT Series test at Paul Ricard.

The Belgian was the first driver to break through the 1:57 barrier with a time of 1:56.724, 0.290s clear of the Garage 59 McLaren 650S GT3 of Rob Bell, Stuart Moore and Andrew Watson.

The No. 63 Grasser Racing Lamborghini in third (+0.318s) and No. 87 AKKA ASP Mercedes-AMG GT3 in fourth (+0.329s) made it four different brands in the top four.

Fifteen cars posted a time within the same second as the pacesetting WRT Audi, while an additional four cars joined the test today, bringing to the total number up to the announced 51.

The session was interrupted twice, with the No. 68 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracán GT3 experiencing difficulties with recurring punctures.
