Risi Competizione has announced its driver lineup for the Rolex 24 at Daytona, with Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, David Rigon and Miguel Molina set to pilot the team’s Ferrari 488 GTE.
Each of the four Ferrari factory drivers have previous experience with the team at Daytona, with Pier Guidi, Calado, and Rigon all having teamed in last year’s entry.
Molina, who was behind the wheel for the Houston-based squad at the Michelin On-Track Opportunity in December, also raced for Risi at Daytona in 2018 behind the wheel of a GT Daytona-class entry.
“We have another pro line up for this year’s Rolex 24,” said team principal Giuseppe Risi.
“All four of these drivers bring a deep knowledge of the Ferrari 488, along with endurance racing experience, and that’s what you want at a challenging race like this.
“Davide and Miguel will handle the driving at the test days and Ale and James will join them for race week.”
This marks the 17th Rolex 24 At Daytona appearance for Risi since 1998.
The Ferrari team has recorded two runner-up spots, in 1999 with the Ferrari 333SP and in 2003 with the Ferrari 360GT. Calado, Toni Vilander, and Giancarlo Fisichella took home third place honors in 2017 in the Ferrari 488.
