Dillon Machavern has given Turner Motorsport pole position for Friday’s Sahlen’s 120 at Watkins Glen.

Machavern took his No. 95 BMW M4 GT4 to a quick lap of 1:54.897, narrowly outpacing the No. 16 Wright Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport of Ryan Hardwick for the pole.

Machavern will share driving duties with Bill Auberlen in tomorrow’s two-hour race.

The No. 7 VOLT Racing with Archangel Aston Martin Vantage GT4 of Alan Brynjolfsson will start third, followed by the No. 46 Team TGM Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R of Hugh Plumb in fourth.

The GS qualifying session ended early after an incident between the No. 11 FCP Euro Mercedes-AMG GT4 of Michael Hurzyn and No. 93 CarBahn with Peregrine Racing Audi R8 LMS GT4 of Sameer Gandhi in Turn 6.

Hurzyn’s best two times was disallowed due to bringing out the red flag, demoting him to 24th overall on the grid.

Gottsacker on TCR Pole in First of Season for Hyundai

Harry Gottsacker gave Hyundai its first TCR class pole of the season, edging out Brian Henderson for top qualifying honors in his No. 33 Bryan Herta Autosport Hyundai Elanta N TCR.

Gottsacker’s 1:57.444 was 0.161 seconds faster than Henderson in the No. 84 Atlanta Speedwerks Honda Civic Type-R TCR.

Parker Chase will start third in the sister BHA Hyundai Elantra N TCR, meanwhile.

The Sahlen’s 120 gets underway Friday at 2:35 p.m. ET with live coverage on Trackpass on NBC Sports Gold and IMSA Radio.
