Ford Racing and Ford Philanthropy have teamed up to provide the experience of a lifetime to veterans competing in Operation Motorsport’s Operation eMotorsport iRacing League.

Four veterans who compete in the the sim racing league have been invited to visit the Ford Racing Technical Center in Concord, N.C. on Nov. 4.

Champions were just crowned in the league’s 11th season that boasted packed grids and participants that ranged from Operation Motorsport veterans to active duty military and those who support them.

This activation is part of the larger CrowdStrike Veterans Race of Remembrance powered by AWS event at Virginia International Raceway on Nov. 7-9 (Veterans Day weekend) and celebrates the power of eMotorsport to give medically retired veterans or veterans with a service-connected disability team, identity and purpose.

Mustang Cup will conclude its season at VIR the same weekend.

“We hope the program beneficiaries enjoy their immersion into Ford Racing’s state-of-the-art development simulators, where they will get to experience the same tools that the Ford Racing drivers across stock car, sports car and off-road disciplines use to hone their skills and develop the racing platforms,” said Ford Racing’s global single-make series program manager Chris Ward.

“Following on from their experience in Concord, the beneficiaries will join us at Virginia International Raceway where we look forward to hosting them during the final round of the 2025 Mustang Cup USA.”

Among the participants include E4 specialist Camen Lackney, retired, U.S. Army, warrant officer Chris Glandon, retired land communication and information systems technician, signals branch, Canadian Armed Forces and senior airman Ian Carney, retired AWACS hydraulic mechanic, U.S. Air Force.

“As a military veteran, I am deeply grateful to Ford Racing for opening the doors of the Ford Technical Center for us and to Ford Philanthropy for allowing us to bring veterans who normally only see the others in their eMotorsport League virtually to the Veterans Race of Remembrance to meet them in person,” said Jason Leach, retired U.S. Army, special forces and Operation Motorsport director of operations.

“Ford is truly giving our veterans a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

“We know that motorsport can play a vital role in recovery and reintegration for those affected by service-related injuries but we couldn’t do what we do without sponsors and help from great teams like Ford Racing and Ford Philanthropy.

“Thank you for helping us show these veterans that they matter, their recovery matters, and that together we can help them rediscover team, identity and purpose.”
