Lotus has unveiled the production-ready version of the Emira GT4, releasing new technical details ahead of initial customer deliveries this summer.

The British manufacturer’s new GT4 challenger, which was first shown in 2021, is seen in new images with an updated black and grey color scheme.

The Emira GT4 is powered by a Toyota-tuned, 3.5-liter supercharged V6 engine producing 455 horsepower, although the exact power output is subject to Balance of Performance regulations.

The power output has been increased by ten percent as part of development upgrades undertaken in collaboration with RML Group.

Other improvements include an all-new six-speed paddle shift sequential gearbox and control system, optimized aerodynamics and enhancements to the braking system, springs, damping and cooling packs.

“The Emira road car was such an excellent starting point for a GT4, and we’ve now further refined and tuned the package with the team at RML to create what we believe is a highly competitive and performance-oriented race car,” said Gavin Kershaw, Lotus Director of Vehicle Attributes.

“We know our customers are keen to get behind the wheel and we’re looking forward to seeing their results.”

Lotus has stated that the Emira GT4 has entered production, adding that the first cars will be delivered to owners globally over the summer.

Production takes place at a dedicated, UK-based production facility at Wellingborough by the RML team, with no limit on production numbers.

The Emira GT4 is priced at £179,000 ($226,760) plus taxes and delivery. The car will be on public display at this weekend’s Intelligent Money British GT Championship round at Snetterton.
