Patrick Pilet will return to Vector Sport’s LMP2 lineup for the penultimate round of the European Le Mans Series at Mugello to stand in for Felipe Drugovich.
The Frenchman will pilot the No. 10 Oreca 07 Gibson for the 4 Hours of Mugello on Sept. 29, which marks the first time the series has visited the Italian circuit.
Pilet is set to team with Ryan Cullen and Stephane Richelmi in place of Drugovich, who is unavailable due to what the team has described as a “clash of events” for the Brazilian driver.
Vector also brought in Pilet to sub for Drugovich at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, when the latter formed part of the Action Express Racing Cadillac Hypercar squad.
Drugovich, Cullen and Richelmi currently sit twelfth in the LMP2 drivers’ standings, with Vector ninth in the teams’ standings with a best finish of third at the 4 Hours of Imola in July.
