Dane Cameron will make a one-off GT Daytona return at next weekend’s Northeast Grand Prix, filling in for Markus Palttala at Lime Rock Park.
Palttala will be at the Spa 24 Hours and Cameron will reunite with Turner Motorsport, where he won last year’s GTD championship in the inaugural TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season.
“It should be a lot of fun, working with Turner and Michael Marsal,” Cameron told Sportscar365. “I’ve never co-driven with Mike Marsal before. But he was in the GS program last year so we got to know each other.
“I’m really looking forward to it. Lime Rock has always been strong for BMW in general. It’s the home race for Turner Motorsport and home for Marsal as well. It’s gonna be a big weekend on the Turner side.”
Cameron and Marsal will share the No. 97 Turner Motorsport BMW Z4 GT3, one of 11 GTD cars entered for the two-hour, 40-minute TUDOR Championship PC and GTD race on July 25.
