***A total of 36 cars are set for Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America’s debut at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, down from the initial 42 cars that appeared on the pre-event entry list for the ninth and tenth rounds of the season.

***Both Valkyrie Velocity entries have been no-shows, with team regulars Dominic Starkweather and Raymond Davoudi moving to Precision Performance Motorsports and Topp Racing, respectively this weekend.

***NTE Sport has downsized from four to two cars since the initial entry list, while the No. 33 World Speed and No. 07 TR3 Lamborghinis have also been withdrawn since the start of track action on Friday.

***Indianapolis marks the final rounds of the season on U.S. soil, with the final two races set to be held at Vallelunga on Nov. 16-17 ahead of the World Final that weekend. Lamborghini America senior motorsports manager Chris Ward told Sportscar365 that he’s currently expecting 34 cars to make the trip to Italy.

***Longtime Super Trofeo entrant Dream Racing has returned to the paddock this weekend, partnering with TPC Racing in the No. 2 Lamborghini being driven by Alan Grossberg in LB Cup.

***Harris Levitas, TPC’s director of race operations said: “Dream Racing and TPC Racing have been working closely since the beginning of the year behind the scenes, and we’re grateful to Alan for being a part of that relationship and getting back behind the wheel. First and foremost, we’re all motorsports enthusiasts at TPC Racing, so to have a great group of people racing for us and to be able to do it at Indianapolis is just the icing on the cake.”

***An auction to benefit the Erin Levitas Foundation, named for TPC’s founder Michael Levitas’ daughter, closes at 7 p.m. EDT tonight. Fans and racers can bid on items ranging from track days to artwork, concert and football tickets and more. The foundation aims to provide education for youth and young adults to prevent sexual assault and help survivors heal.

***All three of Flying Lizard Motorsports’ Pro-Am entries: No. 14 Slade Stewart/Andy Lee, No. 41 Paul Nemschoff/Marc Miller and No. 68 Chris Bellomo/Johannes van Overbeek, still have a mathematical chance of the Pro-Am championship, which is currently being led by NTE’s Keawan Tandon.

***John Capestro Dubets, who missed the last round at Virginia International Raceway due to recovery from back injuries, has remained on equal points to co-driver Tom Capizzi, thanks to a series’ rule that takes into account force majeure.

***Flying Lizard’s fourth Lamborghini, driven solo by Tom Tait in the Am class, has been coached all season long by Guy Cosmo, who is among the notable top-level drivers investing time in the single-make series this year.

***The first 50-minute race of the weekend gets underway at 11:50 a.m. EDT with Race 2 set for Sunday at 10:40 a.m. Both rounds will be streamed live on Peacock and IMSA.tv, featuring the IMSA Radio commentary team of Brian Till and Jeremey Shaw.

***A one-hour recap show will air on CNBC on Sat. Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. EDT.
