Lamborghini has selected 16 drivers from across its Young Driver and GT3 Junior programs for its end-of-year shootout, which takes place after the Grand Finals event in Portimao.

Earlier in the year, the Italian manufacturer announced a list of 15 Young Drivers and 23 GT3 Juniors who would be eligible to be selected for the end-of-year shootout.

The 38 drivers, all of whom are racing in Lamborghini machinery, were assessed throughout the season in areas such as driving performance, consistency, experience, professionalism, attitude and technical feedback.

A panel led by program supervisor Raffaele Giammaria has selected the drivers to take place in the two-day test.

From the Young Driver Program, Super Trofeo Europe drivers Pierre Louis Chovet, Marzio Moretti and Milan Teekens will be joined by North American champion Danny Formal on Monday.

Also out on Monday are GT3 Junior nominees Yuki Nemoto, Maximilian Paul, Mick Wishofer and Leonardo Pulcini, who won last year’s Young Driver shootout.

Tuesday’s test will then see Young Driver Program members Luke Berkeley, Amaury Bonduel, Jean Luc D’Auria and Milane Petelet take to the track alongside GT3 Juniors Glenn van Berlo, Benjamin Hites, Jaden Conwright and Mateo Llarena.

The winners of the shootout will receive official support from Lamborghini for the 2023 season, following in the footsteps of Pulcini and Arthur Rougier, who came out on top last year.

Both drivers subsequently embarked on full-season efforts in Lamborghini GT3 machinery.

Pulcini raced in the International GT Open with Oregon Team, while Rougier contested a dual campaign of Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS and ADAC GT Masters with Emil Frey Racing.
