Peugeot has continued its testing and development program for the 9X8 Le Mans Hypercar with a three-day test at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya last week.
The French manufacturer, which has confirmed it won’t make its FIA World Endurance Championship debut until the fourth round of the season at Monza at the earliest, completed another test at the Spanish circuit with drivers Loic Duval, Jean-Eric Vergne and Mikkel Jensen.
While official mileage was not disclosed, a Peugeot spokesperson told Sportscar365 that it did not include any night-time running.
The Hypercar class car is still sporting no traditional rear wing, which is still expected to be the case once it goes through final homologation later this year.
The outing in Barcelona came on the heels of a four-day test at Magny-Cours last month.
Further details on the manufacturer’s program have not been disclosed, although it’s believed to still be targeting a debut in the globe-trotting championship this year.
