Allied Racing will no longer make its DTM debut with a two-car Porsche effort, with the manufacturer confirming that plans have been abandoned as the result of a “last-minute cancellation.”
The German squad was originally slated to field a pair of Porsche 911 GT3 Rs, with Ricardo Feller joining from ABT Sportsline to spearhead the lineup alongside series newcomer Bastian Buus.
However, Porsche confirmed on Thursday that it has been left scrambling to ‘set up an alternative program’ after plans for Allied to make its DTM debut fell through.
“Customer sport and customer teams are of outstanding importance to Porsche,” a statement provided to Sportscar365 read.
“They form the foundation of our motorsport commitment. That is why the last-minute cancellation of the two entries of Allied Racing for the 2025 DTM hit us hard.
“Porsche Motorsport is now trying to set up an alternative programme for the two affected drivers, Ricardo Feller and Bastian Buus, for the 2025 season.
“As the season starts in the relevant series have either already taken place or are imminent, this will be a difficult undertaking.
“We are also in constructive dialogue with Allied Racing to discuss the consequences of the cancellation.”
Porsche is set to still be represented on the DTM grid by Manthey EMA, which will field a three-car entry for Thomas Preining, Ayhancan Guven and Morris Schuring.
The DTM season kicks off at Oschersleben on April 26-27.
