Benjamin and Oliver Goethe will reunite for the first time since their Hankook 24H Dubai class victory to share a McLaren 720S GT3 Evo at the upcoming Gulf 12 Hours.

The German duo will race with Garage 59, teaming up with Bronze-rated Intelligent Money British GT Championship drivers Mark Sansom and Shaun Balfe for the final round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli season.

Sansom and Balfe each competed with Barwell Motorsport in the British series this year, driving separate Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2s.

The Goethe brothers, meanwhile, will share a car for the first time since they took a dominant GT4 class victory in the 24H Dubai earlier this year, piloting a Dragon Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4.

McLaren junior driver Benjamin competed with Garage 59 in both the Asian Le Mans Series and Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS this season and was part of the Pro-Am lineup that secured a class podium for the team in last year’s Abu Dhabi enduro.

“It’s a cool way to end the season,” he said. “We had a great race here last year, finishing P2 with Garage 59 and I hope we can do one better this time. It’s always good fun to share a car with Ollie and I’m looking forward to doing it again.”

Meanwhile, younger brother Oliver is set for his debut outing behind the wheel of a GT3 car. The 19-year-old, who joined the Red Bull Junior Team last month, competed in FIA Formula 3 with Trident this past season.

“Although I’ve raced single-seaters for most of the season, I am excited to jump back into a GT car again,” said Oliver.

“This will be my first race in a GT3 car, and it’s cool to do it with my brother. It’s been an intense few weeks with a lot of new experiences and I feel like all of these make me a better driver.”
