Riley Dickinson claimed a sweep of the Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup North America weekend at Circuit of The Americas, while Mark Kvamme picked up the Am class title following an early race incident for championship leader Scott Noble.
Pro class champion Dickinson took his No. 53 Kellymoss Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car to the win over the No. 78 Topp Racing entry of Ryan Yardley after the race ended under yellow due to a multi-car accident in Turn 4.
Will Martin launched his No. 9 JDX Racing Porsche into the air while going over curbs before clipping the No. 74 MDK Porsche of Jimmy Llibre, which ended its race in the barriers. Llibre climbed from his car under his own power.
It marked the third yellow in the race, the first coming out due to debris and the second for Dan Clarke’s Nolasport Porsche, which stopped on track with suspected mechanical issues.
Thomas Sargent completed the overall podium in third, followed by the No. 98 PT Autosport-backed JDX Racing Porsche of Alex Sedgwick and the No. 20 MDK Motorsports Porsche of Jason Hart, who completed the top-five.
Kvamme, meanwhile, took the Am class win after contact between Noble’s No. 10 MDK Motorsports Porsche and the Pro-Am class No. 14 GMG Racing entry of James Sofronas on the opening lap resulted in suspension damage to Noble’s car.
Noble entered the 16th and final round of the season with a 10-point lead over his MDK teammate.
It marked Kvamme’s second consecutive Am class title.
Sofronas won in Pro-Am on Sunday to also make it a sweep of the weekend, while class champion Efrin Castro bounced back from an early race spin to finish fourth in class.
