Dinamic GT haș announced that it has parted ways with Ford effectively immediately, upending plans to race the Mustang GT3 in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS this season.

The Italian squad had been selected as the first team to operate the new-for-2024 GT3 challenger in the European GT3 series, having been announced as the partner team for the series in October.

It ran Porsche machinery before that and was supposed to run the car in both Endurance and Sprint Cup competition, with factory drivers Fred Vervisch, Christopher Mies and Dennis Olsen coming on board for a Pro-class entry.

Ben Barker, meanwhile, was set to spearhead the second car in the Bronze Cup.

However, a social media post shared by the team on Thursday indicates that the planned programs with the Mustang GT3 will not go ahead, citing an ‘abrupt end’ to its relationship with the Blue Oval.

“Today, we have to share news we never wished to deliver,” the team wrote.

“Unfortunately, for reasons we prefer not to delve into, our relationship with Ford has abruptly ended.

“The Dinamic GT team has worked tirelessly over the past few months on this collaboration, and we never stopped believing in this project.

“We announce that we will not be racing with Ford this season. But Dinamic GT doesn’t stop here; we will take a couple of days to reflect, but we can assure you that we will come back stronger than before.

“Because opportunities arise from crises, and giving up is not in our nature. We will return and we will do so soon.”

Along with the announcement, the team has also removed all Ford-related content from its Instagram page, with the last post prior to Thursday’s announcement now dating back to October.

In a statement issued to Sportscar365, Ford confirmed that Dinamic will no longer race the Mustang GT3 in Fanatec GT Europe, but declined to comment further.
